Split Second

July 5, 2010

Often used to describe something done very quickly.   Can also be used to describe surprise something done quickly.  If someone asks you to come to their house and help them, you can answer them by saying, “I’ll be there in a split second.”  If you are surprised at how quickly someone finishes a task, you can say, “She finished the task in a split second.”
